“I love creating space for healing to happen. Listening to the nuances of the body and responding with Metta (compassion) is a great privilege that I get to participate in. I am honored to be a wellness provider, ultimately allowing my clients to gift themselves with something wholesomely holistic”.
Growing up I had always worked on my father as a way to naturally help him heal some of his pain & stress (besides, walking on his back was fun!). I finished my initial training at Georgia Mountain School of Massage in 2008 and have continued in wellness studies and continuing education courses to include proficiency with rejuvenating Japanese Zen Face Massage with Accupressure Points, Chinese Craniosacral Therapy, Sports massage, Deep Tissue, trigger point, Neuromuscular therapy, lomi-lomi, Thai modified for tablework, Swedish movement therapy; blended techniques for proven results.
I look forward to working with you towards a wellness goal that elevates your mind, body, and soul!
Ya’ll take care now,
Massage is generally considered part of complementary and alternative medicine. It’s increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations.
Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.
While more research is needed to confirm the benefits of massage, some studies have found massage may also be helpful for:
- Digestive disorders
- Insomnia related to stress
- Myofascial pain syndrome
- Paresthesias and nerve pain
- Soft tissue strains or injuries
- Sports injuries
- Temporomandibular joint pain
